Pulsar Digex N450 Near Infrared Optimised Night Vision riflescope delivers superior low light performance.

The Digex is a modern high performance digital night vision riflescope with a 30mm body tube for easy mounting on to a variety of firearms using standard mounts.

The Digex N450 Digital Night Vision riflescope is fitted with a high sensitivity monochrome HD 1280×720 Near Infrared (NIR) Optimised sensor, that is capable of imaging visible light and longer wavelength infrared.

As dusk sets in, though it may look dark to our eyes, the Earth is bathed in infrared emitted by the Sun. This infrared is bent towards the earth by our atmosphere, and as the Sun continues to move below the horizon, the wavelength of this infrared becomes longer until it  disappears  altogether.

A sensor that is optimised to infrared in this waveband will continue to form an image well after cheap sensors fail. These types of sensors are typically used for high-end applications and so have a higher cost.

Pulsar’s patented SumLight adaptive light amplification further enhances the image in extreme low light. A fast f1.0 precision ground and fully multi-coated objective lens compliments the high performance sensor.

In total darkness, the NIR sensor requires an Infrared Illuminator to form an image. However, due to its high sensitivity, the supplied illuminator produces sufficient output ant a fraction of the weight of other digital night vision optics.

The Digex N450 is supplied with a quick-detachable 850nm illuminator for long distance performance in total darkness. An optional Digex 940nm 'stealth' illuminator with an invisible source is also available. The illuminator uses the same APS2 battery as the riflescope and each scope is supplied with two APS2 batteries.
